Sometimes it feels like I’m an African Michael Jackson (without the kids!!!). So many people that love you and show it to you it’s just crazy.
When I did a song like “One love”, wrote it in my plane back from Martinique, I couldn’t even imagine that people in Africa would sing it all together…

That’s what makes you special, is the gift that God gave you to make and think the songs, feel the words and melody of the song before it’s recorded.

Kaysha, the best thing and the most beautiful thing about what you do is the fact that it comes from your inner soul and your creative being. When you wrote these songs you had no preconceptions and you were just expressing your feelings and thoughts. You weren’t trying to do something just to please a record company or to be en vogue and I truly believe that people recognize this. In a world where there are so many musical copycats and duplicity, it is refreshing to see you do something genuine and still remain so humble about it
P.S. Just to be fair, can we get a picture with you and 5 gorgeous guys for a change?? I mean the ladies need some eye candy too (LOL)!

Well, I think the difficulty after those songs is to not try to duplicate them and move on to something else. That’s what I did right now with the first 10 that I wrote/composed, and I’m really pleased, but I wonder how they will compete with what I did before…
Uh well, like my next intro says : “let me just make this music until my heart stops”
I know what you mean- you’re a vitim of your own success and now that you’ve raised the bar, you feel the pressure to outdo yourself. But as you said you’ve got to keep on moving and don’t let the fear of failing cause you to fail by paralyzing your talent! As long as you’re happy with the new songs, that’s what matters and I can’t wait for the new album. And if for some unfathomable reason it isn’t as good, then that makes it easier for you to come back and do a better one later on
That’s life KAysha- hills and valleys- only rarely do you soar in the sky for extended periods. In the meantime, I’ll wait patiently for that picture with Guylaine/your dancers……..LOL
