Making Legendary (#03) : Rhumba, bass and guitar

Finishing the album “Legendary”, we needed some bass and guitars, so I called my homie Guy Nsangue. A guy from Cameroon and probably the best bass player I’ve meet till right now. You know I had to go central Africa on this one, so I did a sweet Rhumba track with my man Top One. Damn, so beautiful…

En finition de l’album “Legendary”, on avait besoin d’un peu de bass et de guitarre, alors j’ai apellé mon pote Guy Nsangué, surement le meilleur bassiste que j’ai croisé jusqu’a maintenant. Cette fois, il fallait que je represente l’Afrique centrale sur celui la, alors j’ai fait une magnifique rhumba avec mon poto Top One. Wow, trop belle…

Oh my god, how many beautiful people do we have to cry for this year? I just lost another friend this morning, South African talented Kwaito artist Lebo Mathosa died this morning after a car crash in Johanesburg.
I first met her in Kora awards and then again in MTV Europe awards. All my condolences sent to her family, her manager Linzy, and may your soul join all our fallen African Soldiers…
So sad…

Mon Dieu, pour combien de magnifiques personnes doit on pleurer cette année? J’ai encore perdu une amie ce matin, la talentueuse chanteuse Sud Africaine de Kwaito, Lebo Mathosa est morte ce matin suite à un accident de voiture à Johanesbourg.
On s’etait rencontré aux Koras et ensuite on s’etait encore retrouvés aux MTV awards. Toutes mes condoléances à sa famille, à son manager Linzy, et que ton amie rejoigne tous nos soldats africains…
C’est trop triste…

We just did a pause in recording sessions just to go and check out 2006 edition of the french automobile fair just here in Pte de Versaille. Damn, some of them cars are so sexy, but I stick to Mercedes-Benz, even if that Peugeot R rocked me good!

7am, out of the club, tired as hell, but hungry! You have 3 solutions: Babylone bis (but I’ll get back it it soon) or Chatelet and Montmartre for their famous crepes. I prefer Chatelet personnaly because in Montmartre, crepes are fuckin’ huge.
So me and my people went in chatelet to rock some crepes before going back home. I had one ham & chese while William and Audren took cheese, meat, mayonaise, damn, at that time? No wonder how they got fat with the years…

7h du mat, on sort du club, grave morts de fatigue, mais aussi afamés! 3 solutions: Le Babylone bis (mais j’y reviendrais bientot), ou alors Chatelet et Montmartre pour leurs celebres crepes. Perso, je prefere Chatelet parce qu’a Montmartre, les crepes sont enormes.
Avec les potos ont est allé à Chatelet pour froisser quelques avant le retour au bercail. J’ai pris une jambon-fromage alors que William et Audren ont pris fromage, mayonnaise et viande achée, eh, à cette heure ci? Pas etonnant que certains ont grossi avec le temps…

Okay, we some lucky dudes: We wake up late, we party daily, we have stripper friends, and they are super cool. Take Shanice for example, she was on TF1’s temptation island reality show, have her little stardom, still she stays down to earth and continues be the same crazy girl. This time we decided to make the tour, Qin, VIP Room, then Dupleix.
Qin was empty that day, VIP room was Tony Parker’s birthday party, so full of people, then Dupleix was not so full, but very cool. We ended at the crepes of Chatelet, but I’ll talk about it in the next post…

Okay, on est des mecs chanceux: On se reveille tard, on sort tous les soirs, nos compines sont stripteaseuses et elles sont super cool. Tiens, regardez Shanice par exemple, elle a fait le reality show l’ile de la tentation sur TF1, est un peu celebre, mais elle continue à delirer avec la famille, c’est cool. Bon, ce soir la, on avait decidé de faire la tournée de la night, Qin, Dupleix, VIP room..
Le Qin c’etait vide, VIP room c’etait l’anniversaire de Tony Parker, donc rempli de people, et on a fini au Dupleix, pas trop rempli mais bonne ambiance. A la fin on est aller taper la crepe à Chatelet, mais j’en parle dans le prochain post…

La Cascade is a little reunion island restaurant located in a little town called Elbeuf, not far from Rouen in France. On the upper floor, they built a nice little mini club for like a hundred people. And it’s sometimes in these small places that the magic occurs, nice public and it brought me joy. And that chicken, damn man… sweet.

La Cascade est un petit restaurant reunionais situé dans la petite ville qu’on appele Elbeuf, pas loin de Rouen en France. A l’etage, un petit mini club pour une centaine de personnes. Et c’est parfois dans ces petits endroits que la magie se fait, super public et ca m’a fait bien plaisir. Et le poulet la, eh dja c’etait doux dé.
