What I love about Portugal is their mall culture. Every city has at least 2 huge malls with beautiful architectures that opens till 1am, that’s so cool. Un truc que je kiffe au Portugal, c’est leur culture du mega centre commercial. Toutes les villes ont au moins 2 gros centres commerciaux ouverts juska 1h du mat, trop cool. Tu fais ca à Paname et t’as tous les inutiles qui viennent foutre la merde et gater l’experience… Enfin, juste avant de partir à Porto, j’ai chillé à Vasco de Gama avec une pote, Joana, supernice… Apres j’ai pris le train pour Porto…

Damn, what a trip… We left Paris around 1pm (after the whole night in the club with Audren and Jackson, and then the whole morning spent mixing tracks for Dannylys, then tracking beats for Warren and Ali angel’s singers) to Lisbon by TAP then we had a connection at 6pm and after a 10h flight, we are in Johanesburg, South Africa. We still have a 3rd flight to Maputo, Mozambique, and then I’m supposed to be ready for my first show in Mozambique. Woaaaah!!!

Putain quel voyage de ouf… On a quitté Paris vers 13h (apres une nuit blanche en boite avec Audren et Jackson, et ensuite la matinée passée à mixer des titres pour Dannylys et faire des vidages pour les chanteuses d’Ali Angel et Warren) direction Lisbonne par TAP, ensuite correspondance à 18h direction Afrique du Sud. Apres 10h de vol on a atteri à Johanesburg. Il reste un 3eme vol en direction de Maputo et ensuite je suis sensé etre ready pour le premier show au mozambique. Wooaaah!!!

So I feel really blessed with all that’s happening to me right now. An award for artist of the year is sweet, but the best thing is seeing you sing my songs with me… It’s been blood, sweat and tears, but thanks to you, it was worth it…

Le Portugal c’est comme un reve parce que j’ai comme l’impression d’etre revenu en 1998 quand on a commencé à entendre parler de moi. Dans un sens, ca a aussi changé ma musique vu que j’ai crée le candyzouk par rapport aux influences du kizomba, de la tarraxinha et de la semba en plus du zouk…
Alors je me sens juste beni avec tout ce qui se passe en ce moment. Un award pour l’artiste de l’année, c’est doux, mais le plus beau cadeau c’est de vous voir chanter mes chansons avec moi… Il y en a eu des pleurs, du sang et de la sueur, mais grace à vous, ca en valait la peine…

End of may was portuguese for me. 4 shows within the same 10 days, Algarve, Lisbon, two shows in Porto… cool. I’m also seeing a change in my public demographics in Portugal: more and more white people come to the shows and they know all the songs by heart. I’m very pleased by this little begginning of cross-over…

La fin du mois de mai etait portugaise pour moi. 4 shows en 10 jours, Algarve, Lisbonne, et deux fois Porto… cool.
