For a reason that’s beyond my reach, some musicians (usually those without any success), like to say that the real musicians are the ones that can play live with band and stuff…
The problem is that all these musicians end up really talking like pure integrists, like if music only belongs to those who can read a score. To me, this is bullshit, music is freedom and everyone should create and represent his universe how they see it…
I don’t see a reason why people creating their music on computers with plugins and virtual synths, a sound real specific with it’s own identity, should prove something to those who create music with drums, guitars & pianos… We talking about different disciplines and everyone should be able to co exist without some bad mouthing the others…
So go ahead, the digital revolution gives you the ability to express yourselves, find your sound, own your music. Guitar+voice or Fruity loops, only you can decide what is your universe…

Pour une raison qui m’echappe, certains musiciens (souvent ceux qui n’ont pas de succes), aiment dire que les vrais musiciens sont ceux qui peuvent jouer en live avec group et tout…
Le probleme c’est que beaucoup de musiciens finissent par parler comme des integristes, comme si la musique n’appartenait qu’a ceux qui savent lire une partition. Pour moi, c’est du vent, la musique c’est la liberté et chacun doit créer et representer son univers comme il veut…
Je ne vois pas pourquoi les gens qui créent entierement leur musique sur des ordinateurs avec des plugins et des synthés virtuels, un son bien specifique qui à son identité propre, doivent prouver quelque chose à ceux qui créent leur musique entierement avec des batteries, des guitarres et des pianos à corde… Ce sont des disciplines differentes et chacun doit pouvoir co-exister sans que les uns regardent les autres de haut…
Alors allez y, la revolution digitale vous permet à tous de vous exprimer et de trouver votre son, votre voie. Guitarre/voix ou Fruity loops, seul vous meme pouvez construire votre univers…
I Agree totaly with u…people love to talk….i can tell them that u play everything…u have sounds that in majority cant be played with live instruments…but u have “si tu veux de moi”, “love de toi” “si tu ten vas”..damn even “jusq’a a fatigue”.and some more..that can be played perfectely with a band..and i know that u already done it live..so the real true musicians are those who can create they own style and named it…that trought a beat u can recognize that was that musician that produced it..ZL SushiFan..
