I called a brother that I met not that long ago to translate some lyrics for me in Capeverdian criolo while I was recording my album “It’s all love“.
He helped me find the right words and pronounce it right and when we listened to the final recording, we got emotionnal, like this is just magic we did…
Since then, he’s been my best friend and an artist that makes me proud.

L’histoire de cette chanson est comme l’histoire de la vie…
J’ai appelé un frere pour me traduire un texte d’une chanson en criolo cap verdien pour mon album “It’s all love” que j’enregistrait à l’epoque…
Il m’a aidé à trouver les bons mots et à bien les prononcer. Et quand on a fini par ecouter l’enregistrement final, on a vraiment ete emus, comme echante par notre propre travail…
Depuis, c’est devenu mon meilleur ami et un artiste dont je suis tres fier.

12 years ago, I remember myself going to an Arrested Developement concert in Paris with my ex-girlfriend Nathalie. And we really had a great time, (one of our precious moments)… So it was really moving for me to see them again on stage with the same energy. And as an artist, it’s great to be able to be impressed by other artists…
I sent a sms directly to Nathalie cause I had to share this with her… Hey Nath, I hope you see these pictures…
Funniest thing was, after the show, there was this girl braggin’ like she was all that, but she didn’t see her wig was upside down because she jumped too much in the show… lol…

Il y a deja 12 ans, je me revois allant à un concert de Arrested Developement en compagnie de mon ex, Nathalie. Et on avait vraiment passé un tres bon moment, (un de nos precious moments)… Alors c’est avec une certaine emotion que j’ai eu le plaisir de les voir en concert live à SOB’s, New York avec la meme energie. En tant qu’artiste, c’est important pour moi d’etre impressioné par d’autres artistes…
J’ai directement envoyé un sms à Nathalie, parce que je ne pouvais partager ca qu’avec elle…

Le plus marrant, c’est qu’en sortant du show, il y avait une nana qui frimait grave dans le metro alors qu’elle se rendait pas que sa perruque etait un peu à l’envers tellement elle avait jumpé pendant le show… lol…

J’ai appris au moins une chose de cette vie: Les choses que tu commences, il faut les mener à leur terme. Et depuis que j’ai appliqué ca à ma vie professionnelle, tout à l’air de marcher pour le mieux…
J’etais le genre de mec avec un million d’idées mais je changeais toujours de direction avant la fin du chemin…
On a tous un million et une idée, mais le meilleur moyen d’eviter la frustration qu’engendre le sentiment de n’avoir rien fait de sa vie, c’est de matérialiser cette idée avant de passer à la suivante…
