Everytime I go to New York, I call Luisa and we try to meet for a drink. This time I went to pick her up after she modeled for a hair salon I think. Then she took me to a little park inside manhattan, super lovely. Then she showed me the ultimate thing, she’s on The Source magazine of may. Great moves for her career. She left Paris but you might have seen her on videos for Slai, Passi, Douty, etc… Now she tries to build a career in the US…

Chaque fois que je vais à New York, j’appelle Luisa et on essaye de se boire un verre. Cette fois ci, je suis allé la chercher à une sceance photo qu’elle faisait pour un salon de coiffure je crois. Ensuite elle m’a emmené dans un petit parc super mignon. Ensuite, grandiose, elle m’a montré le numero de mai de The Source magazine et l’enfant pose dedans. Super pour sa carriere. So, far, after 5 studio sessions, I managed to record 10 tracks and I gotta say I’m very excited about the outcome. I dunno how you will take these new joints, but as u can see from the one I was mixing and those I was putting vocals on, I’ve came far in this metissage thing. Zouk, tarraxinha, kizomba, zoukrnb, ghettozouk… All these flavors just blended… That is what “Legendary” is about…

Pour l’instant, apres 5 sceances de studio, j’ai enregistré 10 morceaux et je dois dire que le resultat est tres excitant. Je ne sais pas comment vous reagirez à ces nouvelles compos, mais comme vous pouvez le voir à celle que je mixait ou celle que je chantais, je suis allé encore plus loin dans mon metissage. Zouk, tarraxinha, kizomba, zoukrnb, ghettozouk… Toutes ces saveurs melangées les unes aux autres… C’est ca que sera “Legendary”…
Lobito was hotter than Lobango, but still a little cold. Winter time got me catching a cold. Still we managed to go to this guy’s place and throw a little house party and it was very cool. JD, Gomez and me performed just a bit and we met a lot of other sweet people…

Il faisait plus chaud à Lobito qu’a Lubango, mais encore un peu frois. Cet hiver en Afrique m’a donné un bon rhume. On s’est quand meme retrouvé chez ce gars cool pour faire une house party et ct cool. JD, Gomez et moi avons fait un mini show et on a encore rencontré d’autres gens magnifiques.
Woke up at 4am to go in the mountains 2h from Luanda, Angola to shoot a video with Isidora Campos, for a song that I co-wrote and produced “Na kwei”. Was a lot of work and I’m sure Oshifu will do a hot video as usual…

It was a sweet days. Two sweet little beautiful fans came to see us and tell me how much they liked me and each wanted to buy a cd. Problem, we only had one cd left to sell. So Mike decided to sell it to the youngest. Ouh dram, tears, yelling… You finally gave Whitney a Loony Johnson album, but babygirl was pissed anyway… Heard she cried la night, poor little girl… Broke a heart again… sob!

La journée avait bien commencé. Deux magnifique tres jeunes fans sont venues me dire comme elles aimaient ma musique et elles voulaient acheter un album chacune. Probleme, il n’y avait plus qu’un cd en stock. Alors Mike l’a vendu à la plus jeune. Ouh drame, larmes, cris… J’ai fini par donner un album de Loony Johnson à la jolie Whitney, mais trop tard, l’enfant etait trop enervée… On m’a dit qu’elle a sangloté toute la nuit la pauvre… J’ai encore brisé un coeur… snif!
